How to Publish a Children’s Book and a Non-Fiction Book

Whether writing for children and young adults or developing nonfiction for the commercial market, success depends on more than creativity and writing style—it requires a strong understanding of the business of publishing. For children’s books, this includes identifying the appropriate category—such as chapter books, middle grade, or young adult—defining the target readership, and understanding key themes.
